Drawing update

I am really failing at this drawing for 30 days thing, not because I’ve given up, but because being sick and feeling meh really don’t go well together.

Anyway, today I got bored. Like REALLY bored (it seems that there is such a thing as sleeping too much, watching too many DVDs and youtube videos), and decided that I should probably draw something… I did, and soon found that drawing while sick is no picnic – my hands were shaking like there was no tomorrow (what the hell is that?!)

Daniel, a guy I work with said that he’d pay $50 for a picture I draw of a cat (bless his heart), so I decided I should draw him one…

Also, I LOVE CameraBag, it turns photos of me looking sick, terrible and eating fruit into works of art:

My Weekend: Meet The Animals

Last day house sitting, featuring: Some horses and a huge peach tree

Drawing I did while we were away. I didn’t draw anything yesterday cause I was too meh, but hopefully I’ll get back into it SOON

30 days of drawing challenge (day 5)

I probably won’t be able to post any pictures over the next couple of days as I’ll be away house sitting for the weekend and will have limited (if any) internet access (well, I’ll be able to use an iPad, but that doesn’t really count).

I will still be drawing though, so I’ll upload what I’ve drawn when I get back on Sunday, and will hopefully have some videos of the animals when I get home as well.

30 days of drawing challenge (day 2)

I really need some more promarkers, at the moment I only have three colours and although the tombow dual brush pens are pretty, they feather a bit when they’re used to colour in. Maybe if I’m super nice and adorable my boyfriend will get me some *nudge nudge hint hint*
Anyway, here’s what I’ve drawn today:

30 days of drawing challenge (day 1)

Today is day one of Rochelle’s (aka Faute De Mieux – formerly known as crushed glass) 30 day blog challenge.
The challenge is cool, because there aren’t any set rules or questions – what you choose to do for the month is completely up to you, the only thing you need to do is document your progress (this could either be via photo post or video blog).

For the challenge I had originally though of ‘writing for 20 minutes a day‘, to get back in to the swing of things. However, after about 10 minutes I realised how hard that was going to be to document. I could take photos of my writing, or read what I’ve written in a vlog, but that could get rather tedious… so I decided to settle on ‘draw for 20 minutes a day‘ instead.

For the challenge I’m using a moleskine that I’ve had lying  around since October.

The drawing so far… (I used Letraset Promarkers and Tombow dual brush pens – I much prefer the Promarkers and need to get some more – these things are amazing!)

Oh, and I made another (plain) paper crane…

30 Days Of Me: Day 30/30

My Favourite Song:

I don’t have a favourite song (if you were wondering I don’t have a favourite band, singer, actor, actress, movie; or colour either), so instead of posting ‘ZOMG THE BEST SONG EVAR!” I am going to share two songs with you from my last.fm page.

Top played song this week: Alright – John Legend

#8 Most played song of all the: New Friends Request – Gym Class Heroes

Anyway, yay! The last day of #30daysofme, I made it to the end! I am thinking of starting up another challenge, so will probably have a look around the internets until I find one that I like, it probably won’t be for a while though as the laptop needs to get fixed so I will have limited internet access at home and I won’t be at work next week *sadface*.

30 Days Of Me: Day 29/30

In the past month what have I learned?

If nothing else, that when you’re stressed to the eyeballs the best thing to do is to try to CALM THE FUCK DOWN, because stressing will only make matters worse. What you need to do is take a breath (go for a walk if necessary, just give yourself time to clear your head) and ask yourself the following questions:

  • What is the worse case scenario?
  • What is the best case scenario?
  • What is the most likely scenario?

After you’ve asked yourself those questions, ask yourself if panicking is worth it, chances are it probably isn’t… and if it is? Well, you’re fucked.

Tote I bought today (yes, I also have the mug).
