Happy Wednesday everyone! (you won’t believe how many times I had retype Wednesday before I got it right; I can’t be the only person who has to say it in their head phonetically in order to spell it correctly, can I?)
I hope you’re all having a good week, this week has been a bit of a roller coaster for me, for the most part I’ve been happy/can’t complain, but there have been a few on-the-verge-of-tears-really-can’t-be-bothered moments, hormones suck…
One of the goals I set myself at the beginning of the year is to be happier in general – I feel that I have become more cynical/pessimistic over the years and tend to dwell on things more than I used to. so, I have been trying to focus less on things that get me down and more on the things that make me happy. With that in mind, here are the things that have made my week so far:
The colour of our feature wall: I said this in my previous post, but I’ll say it again: I am in love with this colour. So much so, that despite having already painted my office, I’m thinking of repainting one of the walls in Marahau. I don’t know what it is, but the colour makes me so happy. So much so that I don’t want to leave my room unless I have to. (I’m currently in bed, and I know mum, rooms should only be used for sleep and sex and I shouldn’t be using a laptop in bed, but OMG, this colour!)
A step closer to Canada: Our immigration applications were posted today, so now we wait and hope our applications are accepted. Lord, I hate waiting. I want to be in Canada now! Travelling and moving to a different country are two things that I have always wanted to do, but never thought were possible, so this is all very exciting.
Catching up with Family: I caught up with dad twice this week and saw my niece and my brother’s partner over the weekend, which was lovely (we skyped mum while were at my brother’s place, so I didn’t get any photos of Lonny Bunny this time around).
My Q&A Journal: I bought the feelings-are-gross couple Q&A in August and loved it so much that I ended up buying 5 year version for myself.
Worthwhile Mentions: Cards against humanity (the best/worst game ever, I hadn’t laughed so much in such a long time), catching up with Charloni, random/unexpected facts of kindness (I love making other people smile) and the Lewis Road Creamery/Whittaker’s Chocolate Milk (It’s AMAZING).
That’s it for this week, I hope that rest of your week is great and if you haven’t had much of a good one that the week gets better.
