Friday Faves

Why hello Friday, it’s so nice to see you again: I don’t have much planned for the weekend, and I’m so happy about that. Here’s hoping this weekend is uneventful and relaxing, because I need it.

anatomical skeleton

1. My educational anatomical skeleton: Those who know me will know that I have wanted a life-size anatomical skeleton for the longest time; those things can be pretty pricey when you include the shipping to New Zealand though (trust me, I’ve looked), so when i found this desktop version, I couldn’t resist. If you were wondering, I got it from Iko Iko, and while I can’t seem to find it on their website, they do have other skeleton related items.

  1. NZ Secret Santa – I totally forgot to post about this last week, but his year, I have signed up for the NZ twitter secret Santa for the first time, and I’m so excited. I was so scared I was going to get someone who either had a locked account, or hadn’t tweeted at all (what do you get somebody who’s profile you can’t properly stalk? Just a card? A lump of coal for not playing ‘nice’?) Luckily I got someone I follow, so getting them something they like should be relatively easy.

If you would like to join in on the secret santa fun, round 2 registrations are currently open, and you have until the 26th of November to sign up.

3. Tropical fruit prints/Home decor: In last week’s post, I shared the watermelon doormat I have been coveting for months; I don’t know what it is, but I am so obsessed with tropical fruit at the moment. This week, I bought a pineapple print dress and a ceramic pineapple LED light (I also have two pineapple ice-cube trays and I currently have my eye on a giant acrylic pineapple; apparently it’s tacky and we don’t need it).

4. Miss Kangsta Food Stall – Miss Kangsta is a Korean street food stall at the Capital Market on Willis street, and their food is amazing. Quite a bit of their menu is gluten free and they make some rather interesting cheesecakes (we tried the kumara one the other day and it was delicious, weird, but still delicious).

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend xx
