I’m at home from work with a throat infection, painkillers and antibiotics. I’ve been home two days, and have tomorrow off work as well; I’m bored as hell, and have been kept sane by watching back to back episodes of Friends (it’s finally on Netflix) and eating ice cream (because it doesn’t hurt). Anyway, being sick sucks, but that doesn’t mean everything has been sucky, here are thing things that have been awesome and that I have been grateful for over the past fortnight (I completely forgot about posting last week).
New Year’s Day at the zoo (and a bonus mini tweet up with Anna, Asher, Raquel and Rueben)
Sunshine! We’ve had some beautiful days this summer.
Juicing ALL THE THINGS.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (it’s one of the best books I have read in a while).
My instax (so obsessed).
Homemade Dulce De Leche ice cream (I am so happy we bought an ice cream maker).
Six Barrel Soda x Supreme Coffee coffee syrup (it’s amazing with the Lewis Road Creamery/Whittaker’s chocolate milk).
My new desk (bonus points for my husband for putting it together).
We got containers for our flours (it’s probably a little weird how happy it made me).
Lady Grey tea; I find it comforting when I’m sick.
My sister Tina is back from the UK; I haven’t seen her yet, but can’t wait to see her face.
Our new bedding, it’s so pretty!
My husband’s post regarding ‘resolutions‘ in our ‘feelings are gross’ Q & A book. He makes me laugh.
Surprise phở; my husband bought phở for me yesterday, because I wanted some for lunch, it was so sweet and almost made me cry. Feelings are gross, and he’s the best.
Friend’s is finally on Netflix!
Now that I have shared the awesome parts of the last fortnight, I’m going to go back to watching Friend’s and might read a book (I downloaded few eBooks after I finished reading Fangirl).
Hey! I just wanted to say I love your weekly gratitude lists! I used to do monthly ones, but haven’t for over a year I would say. You made me want to start again, because it reminded me how important it is. Also fun to go back and read later in the future. I really like your blog!
Than you. I haven’t posted many weekly gratitude lists lately, but will be picking it up again this week. I find they’re great to read over (and to write) when I’m in a crappy loud as they help me focus on the positive xx
