For some reason, today, I’m incredibly nervous about doing an Aussie Curves post. I don’t know what it is, but I’m so anxious, if feels as iI I’m going to vomit and cry and at the same time (thanks jerkbrain). Did anyone else doing Aussie Curves get that feeling when they first started doing outfit posts? Does anyone still get it?
Anyway, last night, I took my husband out for dinner; we went to the Gasworks in Miramar, they have a fairly decent selection of gluten free meals, so we knew there would be something we could eat.
For our date, I wore my favourite City Chic dress; it’s a bright blue dress with prints of birds all over and just screams summer (I have a workmate who has the same dress, which we found out when we both wore it to work on the same day).
The Look
Dress: City Chic
Cardigan (not pictured): City Chic
Shoes: Number One Shoes
For the face, I went with a plum lipstick and a little bit of the Bobbi Brown shimmer brick in copper diamond under the eyes. I had put on a full face of makeup, but thought it looked a little over done for dinner at a gastropub…
The Meal
Appetiser: I chose calamari (gluten free calamari?! Hell yeah!) and because Phillip doesn’t like seafood, he went with the chicken wings.
Main: I went for the nachos, while Phillip had a 1/2 rack of ribs (I had the ribs the last time we went to Gasworks, and they were good, but I wanted to try something different this time around).
Dessert: I couldn’t finish my nachos (the bowl of corn chips seemed to go on forever), but I still managed to squeeze in dessert (there’s always room for dessert though, am I right? I had the butterscotch sundae, and it was amazing.
What’s your idea of the perfect date night? Mine would be going somewhere nice to eat, and then coming home a DVD or movie on Nextlix with my fave guy,

Great date outfit! And that plum lipstick looks great on you
Thanks lovely, I actually bough it because you suggested plum for me as a fall colour a while ago ;)
Love you xxx
Beautiful outfit.
Great post too, by the way. I was nervous when I started too.
Thank you, it’s my fave summery dress; I feel like a trip to City Chic for some new dresses is in need <3 <3
And I'm glad I'm not the only one with a case of the nerves when they started out xx
<3 It looks like a colour that is just enough without it being too neutral or too out there.
Also where do you do the Aussie Curves thing? I might join in.
It was fairly cheap too, yay Australis!!
I got a list of the prompts from here:

GORGEOUS! This dress is so lovely on you. And girl, I totally feel you about being nervous with the first AC posts. I was nervous as heck when I started posting outfit photos! Just keep doing it and those nerves will fade xo
