This week’s Aussie Curves prompt was bridal. I got married in November of 2013, and had a pretty untraditional wedding dress (my dress was red, as I wanted something I could wear more than once, and I don’t think I suite white).
I went to my first #BrunchClub brunch today, and decided to wear the dress, so before I headed out, I got my husband to take some photos of my outfit.
I got my dress from Bobby Soxer, a stall at the Wellington Underground Market; I knew that I wanted a vintage inspired red dress and had been eyeing up dresses from their stall for weeks before I ended up buying it.

I was a bit headachey this morning, and decided to go with a full face of makeup so I didn’t look like a zombie (I felt like one though). I’m not gonna to lie, I’m still new to this whole makeup thing and so was having a bit of a freak out before I left the house (what if I haven’t blended properly? what if the colours aren’t right? what if I look like a ghost?), I think I did alright though.
The Face
My Wedding Day
For the wedding I wore the dress with a cropped cardigan from City Chic, a belt that I picked up from a second hand store and some boat shoes I bought from NZSale.
What did you wear when you got married? What are you planning to wear? I’ll let you in on a little secret, when I was about 13, I was determined to get married in an Adidas and Fila shoes…

Hehe, thanks Dani :)
Red is such an awesome colour for a wedding dress, amirite? (I loved yours too btw)
Cutest dress ever! I love red, but I was contemplating grass green for my dress, but ended up with white. :)
Thank you, it’s my favourite dress (mainly the getting married in it, but also the colour and the cut) ;)
