Taking Stock – My Life Right Now

It’s been a while since I lasted posted; not because I haven’t had any ideas (I had the entire month planned out), but because jerk brain has been a massive dick this month. I’m not sure what it is, but I have been pretty depressed lately, and haven’t really wanted to do much (aside from bake for some reason, I have been baking a lot).

Because it’s been a while since my last post. I wasn’t sure what kind of post to start with, so when I saw Lizzy’s Taking Stock post, I figured that this would be a good place to start (also, it’s been a while since I did my last taking stock post, so hopefully it will help me sort the jumble of thoughts going on in my head out).

Making: Things out of polymer clay. I’m need more hobbies and really miss creating things.
Cooking: I have been making lots of apple crumbles lately; my favourite has been the spiced berry + stewed apple crumble (it was amazing).
Drinking: Rosehip, hibiscus + cherry herbal tea (I hated this stuff so much when I first bought it, but it has really grown on me lately).
Reading: The trashiest of trashy magazines – Lucky Break (I bought it for airport reading).
Wanting: To buy tickets for the trip to Canada I want to go on at the end of the year.
Looking: At winter clothes for the trip to Canada at the end of the year.
Playing: Episodes – a choose your story app I downloaded a while ago. Don’t judge me,
Deciding: How much money I want to/can save each pay week.
Wishing: I could be in Canada already, because I really need a break.
Enjoying: The waffles at Drexels; they’re delicious.
Waiting: For dinner.
Liking: Ponte pants. I bought some the other day, and holy crap these are the most comfortable pants I’ve ever owned.
Wondering: How cold Winter in Toronto is…
Loving: My husband for being so understanding and loving.
Pondering: Whether or not we want to do the cross country train from Vancouver to Toronto if we end up going to Canada at the end of the year, or if we’ll fly instead.
Considering: The train option.
Buying: More ponte pants.
Watching: iZombie and Bob’s Burgers – why the hell am I only just getting into Bob’s Burgers?!?
Hoping: We go to Canada at the end of the year.
Marvelling: At Casey Niestat’s strength/motivation. I watched his Draw My Life video recently, and if we can make his dreams happen, anyone can.
Cringing: A few things, that I won’t write here.
Needing: More shelves so I can organise things how I want them to be organised.
Questioning: My purpose and whether everything will work out.
Smelling: Bread baking.
Wearing: Maroon Ponte Pants, a black blouse and a black merino blend cardigan.
Following: Not much at the moment.
Noticing: How many dedicated gluten free places are opening up, I went to MIsters while we were in Auckland on Friday, and it was amazing being able to eat just about everything on the menu (I can’t eat oats, and a few of the items on the menu had oats in them)..
Knowing: Everything will work out and to take things one day at a time.
Thinking: of using my clarisonic tonight.
Admiring: People who keep going no matter what.
Sorting: Out stuff for this trip to Canada – we haven’t even bought tickets yet.
Getting: Overwhelmed by the amount of work I have.
Bookmarking: ALL the blogs I follow, because I finally downloaded an RSS feed reader (the last one I used was google reader, so you know it’s been a while).
Coveting: These waterproof boots from Bivouac and this icebreaker cardigan.
Disliking: Not knowing what’s wrong with Phillip; thankfully he has his MRI booked..
Giggling: With my sister about random stuff. It’s always great to catch up with her.
Feeling: Better now than I have been in weeks.
Snacking: On fruit; I’ve been snacking on a lot of fruit lately (peacherines and tangelos are my favourite at the moment).
Wishing: We knew what Phillip has.
Hearing: 10,000 Emerald Pools by B├śRNS (I made a music from iZombie mix, and have been listening to it a lot).

Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, I actually feel a lot better than I have in weeks. It’s been really good getting everything out in writing. If you would like to do this post/tag as well, the blank list can be found here.

    Re: Toronto winter – think our winter with the southerlies but instead of wearing one layer of clothing over your normal – you’re wearing two pairs of tights or tights under your jeans and you cant expose your hands in the cold air for more than 20 seconds. That cold.

    Love these lists! I would be interested to know if you do end up booking that trip to Canada. I hope you share some of your planning on the blog. Sorry to hear that you haven’t been feeling great too. Hopefully you are back on track soon x

      Canada is amazing – I feel in love with it after two weeks in Toronto and wanted to move back. I love posts like this for helping focus the mind on the things that are going on. I’m feeling a lot better than I was a few weeks ago :)
