It’s been a while since I last did one these posts; I’ve been saving like a crazy person for the past two/three months, and so instead of buying new products, I’ve been trying to use up what I already have (Phillip said I have a ‘medicine cabinet full of skincare items’, I’m fairly sure he was exaggerating, although he might be close).
I believe that saving shouldn’t be a chore, so I’ve purchased a few things that I’ve had my eye on for a while (you have no idea how long it took me to find a bottle of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water), and I thought I’d share what I got with you guys.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I had been looking for it everywhere (not even lying); I was so exited when I finally found a bottle at Miramar New World, that I think I might have actually squeed. Seeing how much people had raved about it, I was a little skeptical, but I’m glad I bought it because this stuff is amazing (it gets rid of Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara without too much effort and cleans makeup brushes); I’ve been using it pretty much exclusively for the past three weeks (I use a foam cleanser when I used my clarisonic). The only thing I don’t like about it, is that the fragrance-free fragrance smells like damp clothes.
Real Techniques – Core Collection brush set
When I saw that Farmers now sell Real Techniques brushes, you know I had to buy some; this set was $50 and definitely worth it.
Goodness Natural Beauty Lab Chia Seed Oil
I’m a sucker for cute packing, which is why I bought this stuff; I have only used it a handful of times, but every time I’ve used it it’s left my skin feeling super soft.
Benefit Cosmetics – Roller Lash and Puff Off
I bought these while I was in Auckland; I was going to repurchase the They’re Real mascara, but ended up buying Roller Lash after I had seen a few bloggers post reviews about it. I bought the Puff Off, because I’m a sucker for a gimmick, not sure if there’s been much of a difference in the eye-bag department though (the lovely Benebabe at the Benefit counter threw in the makeup bag and porefessional samples).
Maybelline Bold Matte Lipstick (in Mat 6)
I bought this, because I had left my lipstick at home, and needed a swipe of colour.
Karen Murrell Lipstick (in Racy Rata)
This is another beauty product I had seen fellow bloggers talking about it, and so I bought it while at the airport on the way home from Auckland. I love the colour and the scent reminds me of cinnamon flavoured lollies.
Anyway, that’s it for me. I’m slowly getting back into this regular posting thing, now that I’m no longer wallowing in self-pity. I’m still not really sure what to post, so if you have any ideas of blog posts/things you would like to see on my blog let me. know xx
