It’s been a while since I last did an outfit post (my archives tell me it’s been six months; whoops), and I kind of have no idea where to start…
Honestly, I have an idea and then I’m all “nah, that’s terrible, can’t write that“, and then delete everything. So, instead of over thinking things, I’m going to type whatever comes into my mind…. because, it’s better than starting at a screen, and constantly typing and deleting, right?
Anyway, enough with the word vomit… The lovely Meagan has started an outfit challenge for NZ & Aussie plus size babes called #nzstylecurvettes, and I thought that it would be fun to join in.
this week’s prompt was floral, and luckily enough I bought a floral print dress yesterday…
The outfit
Emerge Cotton Dress – EziBuy (belt is from a different dress, but I can’t remember which one).
Cardigan – City Chic
Tights – Farmers
Shoes – Number One Shoe Warehouse.
I loved the dress when I first tried it on, but wasn’t sure about it when I got home. I was having one of those self-conscious “I’m not sure if I look super cute, or super frumpy” kind of moments, but now, I love it.
I’m not gonna like though, I still feel somewhat frumpy and awkward, but decided that I needed to get over myself and go “fuck it! this dress is cute, and I’m going to rock it”, because life’s too short to stress out about what I look like, and what other people think about what I look like (or at least what I think they’re thinking)
Super cute!!! I love it!
Hehe, thanks lovely. Am beginning to love it more and more every time I wear it. So cute, and summery :)
The dress IS super cute and you DO rock it – no frump in sight :)
Awww thank you. I had a bit of a moment after I bought it, but I’m totally loving it now – just need some more belts to bring it in a little at the waist :)
Honestly, I bloody love this dress! I think it looks fantastic and is perfect for spring. Oooh, or summer weddings!
Awww thanks lovely. I am beginning to love it more and more each time I wear it, it’s so cute/good for spring and summer. Will definitely be rocking this quite a bit in a new year (and probably December too).
