Summary of October 2015

summary of October 2015

I feel like I say this every time I do a monthly summary post, but where the hell has this year gone?! I really can’t believe that it’s almost the end of the year; time flies though, right?

Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, it’s time for my summary of October, which was honestly, a pretty awesome month (I mean, I got dog cuddles, and dog cuddles are so important).

This month last year:
we house sat for the in-laws, played card’s against humanity for the first time and sent our Canadian immigration forms off for processing (we just missed making the quota cut, so reapplied this year).

Entertained by:
Adult colouring books; I am pretty obsessed. I don’t feel like they relieve stress at all (because staying between the lines is stressful enough as it is), but colouring is something to do and it keeps me occupied.

Purchased:
Lots of Lush, some makeup and a new perfume (I’m almost out of the perfume I have been using, so splurged a little and got Illicit by Jimmy Choo (it smells sooo good)

Watching:
iZombie (Season 2 has just started) and Bones (Season 10 is now on Netflix, which means I get to catch up).

Listening to:
Past Lives by BØRNS

Highlights:
much needed dog cuddles, Friday night fish & chip dates with Phillip at the chippery (if you’re in Wellington, you need to check them out), brunch with Jes & Pete, finally making it to another brunch club, family time and walking around/exploring Wellington with Phillip.

Lowlights:
Being stressed and anxious, which is pretty much the usual tbh.

Looking forward to:
We have a bit of travel coming up and I’m really excited to get out of Wellington and see more of the country.

What was October like for you? Did you get up to anything exciting? Let me know in the comments xx

Colouring is so much fun, right? Those tiny lines… It definitely doesn’t relive my stress (because need to colour between the lines!), but I really enjoy doing it :)

Haha, I do that too – I’ll be sitting in bed colouring in and then wonder where the hell the time went.

That book, I got from a dairy – it’s the Happinez magazine “Happy Colours” book – the designs are sooo pretty, and it’s filled with feel good quotes and stuff :)
