Those who know me, know I have a serious case of wanderlust. It’s not that I don’t love Wellington, it’s just that sometimes, I’m kind of over it. I’ve been here too long I guess, and so a lot of the time, it feels small, like everyone knows everyone else and as if I’ve done everything before.
This past weekend, I decided to make the most of the city; I mean, it’s got to be the coolest little city in the world for a reason, right?
It was pretty sunny on Friday, so I decided to walk along the waterfront before meeting Phillip after work. We then headed off to meet my dad and sister Whiona so we could grab something to eat at the night market on Left Bank (I, predictably got the jerk pork from the Jamaican food stand, in my defence, it’s amazing).
We had dinner with Phillip’s parents, brother and partner at The Chippery in Thorndon (if you live in Wellington and haven’t been to the chippery yet, you NEED to go – so good!)
After dinner Phillip and I decided to walk home through the Botanical Gardens. I really wish that I had brought my camera with me, because it was such a LOVELY night. Sadly I didn’t, and my phone was almost dead, but I did manage to get a few snaps.
What did you get up to this weekend? I hope wherever you are, that you had a lovely weekend and were able to make the most of it xx
