Hi guys, it’s the end of the year; we made it! I hope that this year has been good to you all, and for those who can’t wait to see the back of 2015, I hope 2016 has better things in store for you. Because it’s the end of the year, it’s time for me to share my annual ‘year in review post‘, where I give you a brief summary of how this year was for me. Let’s get into it, shall we…
What did you do in 2015 that you’d never done before?
Walked and fed an alpaca, it was so much fun. and I want to do it again (we’re going to Queenstown in March, and you know that I’ve checking to see if there are any farms near where we will be staying).
Did you keep your New Years resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don’t make resolutions as such, but I do make loose goals. Things I would like to see happen.. not giving them the tag of resolution means I’m not as hard on myself if I don’t complete them. I plan on setting more this year
Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes. My sister in law Tamara gave birth to the lovely Kahu.
Did anyone close to you die?
What countries did you visit?

Unsure; I did a lot of awesome stuff this year, but there isn’t a specific date that stands out.
What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Putting myself out there and going to blogger’s events. I am a total introvert who gets anxious as hell when meeting new people, so putting myself out there is way out of my comfort zone.
What was your biggest failure?
Self doubt – always with the self doubt. I’ve gotten a lot better over the past year, but there’s still a bit of a voice telling me I can’t do something, or I’m going to stuff things up.
Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not really, although this past month, I pulled my left shoulder and dropped a magazine holder on my foot.
What was the best thing you bought?
Two things, my new iMac and my new camera (Canon G5x)
Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My brother’s; seeing how much he has turned his life around since having his daughters has been amazing to see. I am so proud of him, and his little family – same this year as it was the last to be honest. I love you guys.
Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
No one I know, which is great, because there is usually someone who does something that makes me want to give them the side-eye.
Where did most of your money go?
What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Our trip to the Eurico alpaca farm in Rotorua.; it was great.
What song/album will always remind you of 2015?
Unsure, probably Dopamine by BORNS and Beauty Behind The Madness by The Weeknd; I played both of these albums to death.
Compared to this time last year, are you:
happier or sadder? Happier, much, much happier.
thinner or fatter? Thinner
richer or poorer? Richer

Hate’s a waste of time. If I don’t like you, I just won’t bother.

It’s a toss between Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella.
What was your greatest musical discovery?
What did you want and get?
A new iMac.

Pets and overseas travel.
What were your favourite films of this year?
Star Wars – The Force Awakens; I want to watch it again!
What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 31, and we went to Rotorua, where we spent the day looking at hot pools (the day after, I went to an alpaca farm, the alpaca farm was definitely the highlight of the trip).

Getting out of town more.

Not a what, but a who – as always, it was Phillip

What political issue stirred you the most?
Spending a crap tonne on the flag referendum…
Who did you miss?
Not sure if I missed anyone this year.
Who was the best new person you met?
I met a few new people through brunch club, and I will definitely be going to more brunches in the New Year.
Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2015.
The same lesson I learn every year – that I am capable, that I can do more than I think I can or give myself credit for, and that I am more than enough.
Quote a song lyric that sums up your year
When something goes wrong in your life, just yell “plot twist!” and move on.
That was my year, what was 2015 like for you? xx
