Phillip and I spent the weekend in Auckland. It was a pretty awesome trip – our friends Jes and Peter got married (congratulations you guys!), I got to meet a long-time internet friend for the first time (hi Wendy!) and I ticked of a few things I have wanted to do in Auckland for a while but have never gotten around to doing (for some reason, despite going to Auckland many times with Phillip, we’d never been to The Domain).
I thought I’d share a few of my favourite photos from the weekend with you; I didn’t take any photos at the wedding (I’m never sure if you’re allowed to take photos at weddings) so decided not to, but it was definitely my favourite part of our weekend away.
Obligatory wing-shot from our flight to Auckland.
Geese at The Domain.
The Domain has some weird looking trees.,,
It also has lots of pretty flowers.
There’s also some palm trees (I think this is where I saw the pug, I would’ve taken a photo if I had my camera ready when it walked past).
Phillip and I stopped to take photos in a place called Lover’s Lane. Gross.
We also took a walk through Albert Park. I love the flower clock, it’s so pretty, and way more impressive than the one in Niagara (to me at least).
I’m immature and the fountain looks like it’s peeing.
We found a place in Auckland that sells Flight Coffee (coffee from Wellington), and I had the best flat white I’d ever had (Ceremony in Grafton if you were wondering).
Makeup for the wedding; I think I may have overdone it with the blush…
Waiting for our flight home, there was the most adorable toddler walking around chatting and smiling; I kind of wanted to keep him.
obligatory wing-shot from our flight back home.
Looking down on the city during the final stages of descent.
Thos are my favorite photos from our weekend away, I posted some vlogs on my youtube channel of our time away, and if you wanted to see them you can check them out here:
