It was my birthday recently, and as a b’day treat Phillip booked is in for a night at the museum art hotel. The room that we stayed in had a massive bath, and so, I decided I needed to head down to Lush and grab a few goodies to try out.
In this post, I wanted to share what I ended up getting, and what i thought about them (I pretty much have a bath each evening, so you know I’ve tried everything)
Milky Bath (Bubble Bar) – This bubble smells generically soapy, but in a way that floods me with memories from my childhood. I don’t know what it is, but when I picked this up and gave it a good sniff (as is obligatory when making purchases at a Lush store – links to locations in New Zealand here) I knew that I had to buy it. This bubble bar is packed with cocoa butter, and made my skin feel incredibly soft and i will definitely need to repurchase at some point.
Lover Lamp (Bath Bomb) – This bath bomb was part of this year’s valentine’s day range, and holy shit, it was AMAZING (I feel that I need better adjectives to describe things that are great, but whatevs). This guy is packed with cocoa butter, vanilla absolute and orange oil and the smell reminds me of orange chocolate chip ice cream (which to be honest, is a flavour I hate, but is a scent I love ). The little hearts in this bath bomb are cocoa butter, and feel wonderful when rubbed into your skin.
Unicorn Horn (Bubble Bar) – This bubble bar was also from this year’s valentine’s day range; it’s packed with lavender and neroli and it’s super relaxing. I’ve used this a handful of times and still have a little bit left. I love this bubble bar, as it always leaves me feeling super relaxed and happy just before bed.
Lord of Misrule (Shower Scream) – This was from either the 2015 Halloween or Christmas range (I’m guessing Halloween as it’s a shower scream). I bought this while I was in Dunedin last month and I’m kicking myself for not buying a larger bottle (it was half-price, what was I thinking??!). Anyway; this shower scream smells super earthy (it’s a blend of patchouli – which, I usually hate, peppercorn, black pepper and vanilla)., and it’s probably one of my favourite lush scents at the moment. Ah, well, you live and you learn – and I know to stock up if they decide to bring this out again.
do you shop at lush? If so, what are your favourite lush items at the moment?
