I made my first iherb order recently – while looking at their website, I saw that they had a large selection of gluten-free snacks and I decided to finally place an order (if you’re a long time reader of things blog, you’ll know how much I love food). I’m so glad I did, everything was fairly cheap (way cheaper than if I were to buy it in New Zealand) and it arrived within the week.
For dinner last night, Phillip and I had Fish and Chips; we had been meaning to go to The Chippery in Thorndon for a while, but never got around to it (I work a few blocks away and was going to shout us dinner on Friday night after work, but ended up getting sick and spending most of the week in bed, I was pretty gutted).
So, after cleaning the house, we put an online order through to the Thorndon store, and then headed to New World to do some grocery shopping before picking collecting our order (you can choose the time you want to collect your order, so we weren’t rushing around; we were about 10 minutes early). Today Phillip took me to Fisherman’s Table so I could have pho for lunch; I love pho so much, and it was the third time I’ve had pho for lunch this week, What?! It’s delicious and I’m sick, and the soup and noodles feel amazing on my sore throat.
Fisherman’s Plate is a small fish and chip shop on Bond Street; it’s unassuming, small and a bit dingy, but the food is AMAZING. My friend Rochelle took me there so we could get pho a couple of months ago, and I have been hooked on the place ever since. I was looking forward to getting some over the Christmas beak, but they closed so they could refurbish/give the place a paint job. I was pretty gutted, but the place is looking a lot brighter. A couple of weeks ago we bought a juicer (finally, you have no idea now how long I had wanted one). Since getting our juicer, I have been juicing anything and everything I can get my hands on (I feel like an episode of can you ice cream it, but with juice, obviously), because that’s what you do when you get a new toy, right? Right! Continue reading →
