I’m eating chocolate chip cookie dough, heading down the crossroads

I’m posting a recipe this week instead of making a Music Monday post, because as I’ve said previously, I haven’t been listening to much music lately (which is weird for me, because I’m that girl who used to spend all her time in her room listening to the radio).

The recipe I’m sharing is one for a ‘chocolate chip cookie dough’ smoothie that I found via NZ Girl. This smoothie is gluten free and can be made vegan, dairy free (honey as a sweetener) or with dairy (I’m lactose intolerant so made mine vegan, as I’m trying to cut down on the amount of dairy I consume).  Continue reading →

Vegan Cream Cheese Icing

Here’s the recipe for the icing we used on our cinnamon buns (or frosting, or whatever else you call it).

If you’re going to make the icing for the cinnamon buns, I’d suggested halving the batch. We made a full batch the first time around, and we ended up with way too much left over. I’d also suggested not substituting the powdered sugar with anything, we didn’t have enough the first time round so used caster sugar instead – it wasn’t nice.  Continue reading →

I feel like a broken record saying this, but while we were in Toronto we checked out a bakery called Bunner’s.
