Road Trip Chronicles – C1 Espresso In Christchurch

C1 Espresso In Christchurch

During our South Island road trip, we spent a couple of nights in Christchurch. One of the things I had wanted to do while we were in Christchurch was check out C1 Espresso on HIgh Street in the CBD.

I’m not gonna lie, the only reason I wanted to go C1 was because I had heard about their sliders, and how they come to your table via pneumatic tube (what can I say, I’m a sucker for things that).   Continue reading →

Review: Sweet As Popcorn

sweet as popcorn

At the Brunch Club Christmas gathering, we were given goodie bags, in those bags we each got a bag of Sweet As Popcorn. I was fairy tipsy  by the time I got home, and so I munched back half the bag before I went to bed and then ate the other half when I woke up. slightly hungover in the morning.

Review – Burger Wellington: Frijoles Fodongas Burger

Today we headed out to La Boca Loca in Miramar for lunch. It was Phillip’s first time there, I’ve been trying to get him out there since they opened, because they’re pork tacos are amazing. It’s a bit far out though, and was even more of a mission to get to before we got our car.  Continue reading →

Review – Burger Wellington: The TK Royale

It’s Wellington On A Plate time again, which means it’s Burger Wellington time again too! Last year there was one gluten free option (I shat all over it; whoops) this year there are three. Last night, we went to Trade Kitchen to try the TK Royale.

The TK Royale is gluten free by request and comes with a PrimeStar beef pattie, smoked cheddar, Trade Kitchen picked gherkins and Harringtons bacon, and is served with a side of triple cooked fries.  Continue reading →
