Ever since we moved into our apartment, I had wanted to get a new desk; the one I had come with the apartment, and I never felt as if it was mine. Does that sound weird? It served its purpose, sure, it just lacked personality I guess. So at the beginning of the year, my lovely husband bought me a desk from Freedom Furniture, and it’s safe to say that I am in love with it.
After getting the desk, I re-arranged my office and got a few new desk buddies. I love this space so much, and no longer lie in bed curled up as if I’m doing crunches when I’m writing blog posts (anyone else sit like that with their laptop?)
Phillip and I went to Rotorua for the weekend; it was my birthday on Saturday and over the past couple of years years it has become a tradition to get out of town for my birthday weekend. This year, it coincides with the Wellington Sevens, and because I don’t like sportsball or large crowds of drunken hooligans ain’t nobody got time for that. Continue reading →
Hi guys! I hope your weekend is well: it’s Sunday here and (sadly) the last day of my Christmas break. I’m bummed that it’s over, but I can’t really complain, the break was awesome. It’s just that these things are never long enough.
Seeing it’s the last day off, I figured it would be a great time to show you the bag I have been using, and what I’ve been carrying around with me on my time off. Continue reading →
Happy New Year everyone! I hope your year is off to a good start; we saw the year in by watching Red Dwarf and seeing if we could see the fireworks at the waterfront from our apartment (we could see smoke and reflections in other buildings) and spent the morning at the zoo (where we had a mini impromptu tweetup). If the rest of the year is anything to go by, I think 2015 is going to be pretty awesome.
Anyway, now that December is out of the way, it’s time to recap the month that was. Continue reading →
Hi guys! I hope your week has gotten off to a good start, I’m was home sick from work today and spent most of the day lounging around drinking tea (Harney & Sons Pumpkin Spice tea is the best thing ever; you fellow lovers of Autumn/Winter scents and foods will love this). I’m currently drinking Hammond’s Candies Spiced Apple Cider, which is alright, but it has nothing on the aforementioned tea; I’m not allowed caffeine after about midday though so this will have to do.
Anyway, I can’t believe it’s December already (just over three weeks until Christmas), I feel like I say this every time I post a monthly summary, but it’s true. The hour’s drive it took to get out to my dad’s place when I was a kid seemed like a lifetime, now? I’m sitting at my computer wondering where the hell the year went (anyone else, or am I the only one?).
Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, here’s how November was for me: Continue reading →
